Nico is a compilation album by the rock band Blind Melon, released on November 12, 1996. The album was released after the death of lead singer Shannon Hoon in 1995. The album was named after her daughter, Nico Blue Hoon, and proceeds from sales of the album were placed in a university trust for her. It includes previously unreleased tracks, Hoon-initiated and band-finished recordings, previously unreleased versions of songs (No Rain and St. Andrew’s Hall), and covers of songs The Pusher (Steppenwolf) and John Sinclair ( John Lennon).
